Private Pilot Shortage Leads to Traveling Crisis.

Affirmative Action wipes out all demand.

After you. No, no. After you.

The world’s super-rich could soon be forced to slum it on commercial planes due to a worldwide shortage of pilots which means fewer than in years past are working for private jets.

According to the aircraft seller Colibri Aircraft, which sells pre-owned private jets,  big-name airlines are turning their recruitment efforts to pilots in the private sector.  They say that between now and 2038, 98,000 new private plane pilots will be needed to meet demand, they say.

It is down to an increasing number of pilots being recruited by major airlines including British Airways and Virgin Atlantic thanks to a global shortage of pilots.   As commercial airlines claw to keep up with the growing demand, they are focusing on luring as many pilots as they can into their rosters.  High salaries and steady work plus benefits are among the perks on offer. The result is that more pilots are turning to commercial work over private contracts.

The problem is so serious, that those impacted are demanding action from Washington DC.  The affluent travelers group, consisting of movie stars, rap musicians, and professional sports figures are joining forces to lobby lawmakers and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that governs the industry for relief.

Given the money and influence of the group, the FAA immediately relaxed the standards for licensing of private pilots.  Under the Agency’s emergency powers provisions, pilots for private aircraft need only complete a five-hour online class or use the free app “FlyNow” available on the I-Tunes store or on Google Play.

Passengers will be required to sign a waiver form to be able to travel in private aircraft.  The form also requires complete information for next-of-kin.

NBA’s Houston Rockets GM gets $10 Million Nike Deal.

Nike cites ‘Colin Kaepernick effect.’

Oh. Wait. Nevermind.

“I’ve been politically corrected.”

Citing the windfall that the sports apparel giant reaped when the signed  Colin Kaepernick, Nike announced a similar deal with the NBA’s Houston Rockets General Manager.    But given the backlash Nike was walking the deal back, even though the poster emblazoned with “Because sometimes you have to rise above principle” had already been printed.

Kaepernick was permanently sacked after he knelt during the playing of the National Anthem.  No NFL team wanted him, mostly because he was a sucky quarterback.  Nike seized the unemployed hero, offering him a $10 Million deal, something Mr. K. called, “Way better than having to work for a living. Heck, I can go back to sleeping until like 2 in the afternoon.  Because America is just oppressive like that.”

Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey tried to defuse the growing fallout over his deleted tweet wherein with great temerity he said “Fight for Freedom. Stand with Hong Kong” offending the delicate  sensibilities of Communist China.  No known connection but it turns out, there’s more than a few billion dollars of NBA income on the line.

The NBA, which is rolling out it’s new slogan, “Playing Basket without Balls“, caved to the ChiComs faster than Pope Francis could allow the regime to appoint Chinese bishops, saying it was “regrettable” that the tweet offended China. That followed several companies in China, including some of the NBA’s major business partners there, to hit the NBA in the pocket book:

    • Tencent, a major media partner of the NBA in China with a streaming deal that is worth $1.5 billion over the next five years and Chinese state television both said they would not be showing Rockets games.
    • Chinese athletic apparel maker Li-Ning released a statement saying it was upset with Morey’s tweet.
    • The Chinese Basketball Association, whose president is former Rockets center Yao Ming, said it was suspending its relationship with the team.
    • Rockets player James Harden, who frequently travels even when he’s not on the court, criticized Morey’s tweet because the Chinese “show us the most important love.”

Not to be outdone Houston Rockets Plantation owner Tilman Fertitta tweeted that Morey does not speak for the Rockets, “Sure China has concentration camps with widespread rape, forced abortions, and forced sterilization.  And the government is using deadly force against unarmed Chinese citizens who only want freedom.  But that’s nothing compared to the tyranny that Colin Kaepernick faced.”

For his part, Morey fell short of the required self-immolation necessary to appease Communists in Beijing and in the US Media. Morey tweeted early Monday, “I did not intend my tweet to cause any offense to Rockets fans and friends in China.  I was merely voicing one thought, based on one interpretation, of one complicated event. I have had a lot of opportunity since that tweet to be politically corrected.”

In an ironic twist of fate, the whole kerfuffle arose because the offending phrase “Fight for Freedom. Stand with Hong Kong” is identical in Chinese to “never trust anyone you can blindfold with dental floss.”

Pope Francis converts, actually becomes Catholic

Answering the oft asked rhetorical question: Is the Pope Catholic?  Finally!

Faithful Catholics and others who hold to the Truth of the Catholic Church got some surprising good news from a completely unexpected source today: Pope Francis I.

Pope Francis has been subjected to criticism from the laity and from his brother bishops since the beginning of his pontificate.  Francis has frequently caused consternation with his vague and often confusing declarations that hinted at his efforts to set aside – and in some cases, completely reverse – historic Catholic teachings.  The Pope has even provoked Catholics, calling it “an honor” when Americans voiced disagreement with him.

But the disclosure of a private letter written by Pope Francis I has served to brighten the outlook for orthodoxy being protected and promoted.  In the wide-ranging letter, the Pontiff noted that he, “felt this irresistible wave of grace, that just had to be the Holy Spirit, sweep over [him].  And [he] was finally able to overcome the deceitfulness of the Marxism that, as a Argentinian and a Jesuit had been such a pervasive part of his upbringing.”

Francis continued that he was able to “interiorally repent” and subsequently make a good Confession, hoping that going forward he “would have a renewed heart for evangelization of the world” in the time that he has left.   When the recently appointed Prefect for the newly formed Congregation of Really Cool Vibes and Ecumenism was asked to verify the contents of the letter, he responded simply, “Uh oh.”

Talking to some of them,” the Pope continued “is like playing a game of theological wack-a-mole; they just keep shifting their paradigm.  I call this group porta-protties because they just keep making up s[tuff] as they go along.”

Perhaps the biggest papal reversal came from the Pope’s comments on other faiths.  Francis who has made several controversial declaration about Islam as well as other religions.  “I have some damage to undo” said Francis, “I made a grave error in exposing the Faithful in Communist China to government-approved bishops.  Gotta fix that el pronto.  And I was especially naive in my approach to Islam, which seems to me now to be insatiable in its desire to shed Christian blood.”  The Holy Father also had some words for Protestants and the heirs of the Reformation.

“And I know that the Catechism calls these children of the so-called Reformation our ‘Separated Brethren’ and I shall endeavor to treat them as such.  But a large number of these ‘Brethren’ seem challenged to approach history and their faith with intellectual honesty.  Talking to some of them,” the Pope continued, “is like playing a game of theological wack-a-mole; they just keep shifting their paradigm.  I call this group porta-protties because they just keep making up s[tuff] as they go along.”

There has been no official word from the Vatican on Pope Francis’ new found faith.

Planned Parenthood: All Babies are Equal.

“Some are just more equal than others.”

Real reason former PP President got fired: She’s having a product of conception.

“My babies are more equal than yours.”

Leana Wen apparently was not pro-abortion enough for Planned Parenthood.  But the former CEO of the abortion chain still supports abortion.

In a recent interview with The Baltimore Sun, Wen discussed her work at Planned Parenthood, her new job teaching at George Washington University and her family. She currently is pregnant with her third child.

Planned Parenthood fired Wen in July, less than a year after she took on the role as CEO. Despite the contention between her and the abortion chain, Wen told The Sun that it was an “honor” to work there.

“I had the opportunity to travel around the country and to meet incredibly dedicated doctors, nurses and advocates who put everything on the line to care for their patients,” she said.  However, Wen admitted that the constant traveling was difficult for her and her family.

“My son, Eli, is now 2 years old,” Wen said. “… I was often traveling from Sunday afternoon to Friday evening. I missed my husband, Sebastian, and Eli very much. It broke my heart when, a few months into the job, Eli began crying when I came home because he saw me as a stranger.”

But father Sebastian comforted the lamenting Eli, “Don’t worry, son, no one is stranger than Mommy.”

Lion dodges cholesterol nuclear bomb.

PETA says lion a ‘vegan’; denies racial motives.

The other white meat

A woman climbed over a visitor safety barrier at the Bronx Zoo’s African lion exhibit over the weekend, according to the zoo.

Video posted to Instagram shows a woman in a T-shirt and pants standing  just feet away from a male lion. They stare at each other for a brief period of time. Then she seems to almost taunt it, raising her arms and wiggling her body for a second as if she’s dancing. The lion just stares.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) spokesman, who said they were “non-binary” and went by the name Ocean, observed that the lion is “obviously a vegan which proves the better karma flowing from loving all life forms, except for unborn babies.”

The lion’s keeper disagreed with the PETA assessment, “He just prefers white meat.”

Zoo Officials cause panic during French First Lady’s Visit.

An understandable mistake.

A snafu in internal zoo communications resulted in a panic at Riverside Park and Ralph Mitchell Zoo in Kansas.  Zoo officials announced that a cougar was on the loose in the zoo, causing visitors to run for safety.

Turns out that someone made a reference to visiting French First Lady Brigitte Macron, who was her husband’s teacher when she, aged 39, began a relationship with her soon to be husband, then 16.

Initially, officials in Independence said  that local law enforcement, along with park officials, were searching the area for any sign of the animal.  But a short time later, city officials realized the mistake.  No zoo visitors were injured during Mrs. Macron’s stay.

How bad is it when THIS is your savior?

Wasn’t it Hillary that Pilloried?

Savior Material?

Remember during the last series of presidential debates?  Candidates Trump and H.R. Clinton were asked if they would “accept” the election results.  Trump said “We’ll see” and was roundly pilloried by the media and their Democrat client.  Hillary, of course, said she would because as we all know, she’s invincible.  Then she lost.  Since that time democrats everywhere donned “Not my president” hats, which fell horribly short of the number of MAGA hats.  So they tried, “You can’t spell HATE without HAT.”  That didn’t do much better.

Now, it seems we’re in for a re-do.  Based on bookies’ bets and a few recent actions, speculation is once again starting to grow that Hillary Clinton may be about to enter the Democratic Party presidential nominee race. First, the repeatedly failed presidential candidate has a suddenly full media schedule this week, making appearances on CBS Sunday Morning, Stephen Colbert, and The View among others.

Secondly, as GatewayPundit notes, in the interview with CBS Sunday Morning that is airing this weekend, Clinton said that things happened during 2016 campaign that will not happen again, implying that she may be planning to try again.

“Look, there were many funny things that happened in my election that will not happen again,” Clinton said. “And I’m hoping that both the public and press understand the way Trump plays the game.”

Clinton went on to call President Donald Trump a “illegitimate president” and accusing him of winning by using voter purging and suppression.  Hillary later defined “voter purging and suppression” as getting more votes than she did.

Kind of like Bernie did in the Democrat primaries.

Bill Clinton bids adieu to his role model.

“Who’ll be my role model now that my role model is gone, gone?”

A solemn Emmanuel Macron bowed his head over Jacques Chirac’s flag-draped coffin today as France paid its last respects to its popular former President.  Macron led a military tribute near the site of Napoleon’s tomb while a military band played La Marseillaise, before Chirac’s coffin was driven through Paris for a memorial service.

World leaders past and present including Vladimir Putin, Bill Clinton and Nicolas Sarkozy were among the mourners at the Saint-Sulpice church along with Chirac’s daughter Claude and her family.  On a national day of mourning, a minute of silence was held in schools and public buildings across France to remember Chirac, who served as President from 1995 to 2007.  Chirac, who died last Thursday at the age of 86, will be buried alongside his daughter Laurence in a private family ceremony later.   Still draped in a Tricolore, the coffin was carried into Saint-Sulpice by Chirac’s former bodyguards while onlookers applauded outside.

Chirac’s widow Bernadette, who is said to be in frail health, attended a private service earlier but was not present at the main ceremony.  Bernadette stood by Jacques Chirac throughout their 63-year-marriage despite his reputation for womanizing and philandering.  Talking to reporters after the ceremony, Clinton spoke of his protege´, mentor, and friend, “Who’ll be my role-model? Now that my role-model is ….Gone …… gone, He ducked back down the alley, with some roly-poly, little bat-faced girl.”

Roly-Poly bat-faced Hillary Clinton had no comment.

Georgia Jury: Abortionist is a nuisance.

It took a jury to figure that out?

Kill babies if that turns you on, but try not to cause a scene.

Gone but not forgotten

In an unusual case with national implications, a jury in Cobb County, Georgia, called now-retired abortionist Daniel McBrayer and his defunct Alpha Gynecology and Consulting a nuisance and held them liable for  affecting other tenants of a business park that once housed the abortion business.  The Governor’s Ridge Office Park Association and other plaintiffs were awarded almost $1.5 million by a Cobb County jury, including more than $311,000 in attorney fees and expenses, according to Law.com.  Governor’s Ridge Office Park Association finally filed suit in 2013, which concluded with the judgement against McBrayer on September 20, 2019.

The office park association contended that McBrayer was already the subject of frequent protests when he moved into the office in 2009, and understood the disruption his abortion business would have on the neighboring businesses.  Tenants complained to McBrayer about the frequent protests and other disruptions, which violated the association’s covenants and restrictions. McBrayer’s response was only to put up a security camera, which did nothing to halt the nuisance caused by his abortion business.

This case is thought to be important because it gives other office park associations a template to follow when abortion businesses move in and cause disruptions for any nuisance they cause.

Killing babies . . . and a liar too! Oh, the humanity.

In McBrayer’s case, he announced his retirement and shut down his Alpha Gynecology abortion business at that location in 2015.  He transferred the property to a family trust, which was also a defendant in the suit.

But instead of actually retiring, McBrayer reopened at another location.   His business closed permanently in 2016, when the landlord sued him for failing to disclose that his business was an abortion clinic.

Neither McBrayer or his mega-church pastor had any comment on the jury award.

Holmes and Waste Industries

When Marie Holmes won the Powerball jackpot of $188 million, her life turned around.  And around and around and around.   Among other things, she became famous for using her new found wealth to repeatedly bail her boyfriend of of jail.

She reportedly spent over $21 million in bail money alone.  Then there’s the new car he wanted and the all-you-can-drink ticket at the Colt 45 Malt Liquor Buffet.  Holmes is pictured (at left) with her obviously overjoyed boyfriend providentially caught between arrests.  He was wearing a “Waste Industries” shirt.  It is not clear if that is his employer or his rapper name for his upcoming album Ms. Holmes is also funding.

But the nouveau riche has at least one other thug in her life.  Meet Pastor Kevin Matthews.  This man of the cloth is suing his church member for backing out of what he says is a promised contribution.  Ms. Holmes did make a $700,000 donation, but – according to the lawsuit – promised to make a $1.5 million donation.  Said Pastor Matthews, “The bottom line is, well, the bottom line.  I want her to do what she said she was going to do and I want to do what God told me to do.  And God told me to sue her butt.  I really feel like a warrior for Christ.”

Warrior for Christ Matthews who took a break from writing his new book Grabbing all you can: Pastor Kevin’s Guide to Living Victoriously noted that he really had his heart set on this cash, “Because of the emotional distress Holmes put me through, I had to start taking more medicine for anxiety and depression.”  When asked what he was being medicated for prior to this event, he disclosed that, “Well, my mom always took my brother’s side when we were kids . . . and there was the time that I got really frustrated when I had to stop at a school crosswalk. But that’s about it.”

Matthews said he only resorted to the lawsuit after Holmes stopped returning his calls and his getting on his knees and begging outside her home (pictured below) proved ineffective.
