Dead babies don’t screech!

A woman who interned at an abortion clinic for years starting when she was 15 testified in court Thursday about seeing at least five aborted babies moving, breathing, and in once case, ‘screeching.’

Ashley Baldwin, now 22, recalled the horrifying detail before a jury at the murder trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, her employer at the Women’s Medical Society clinic in Pennsylvania.

Baldwin said she helped perform countless late-term procedures where aborted babies would show obvious signs of life outside the womb.

‘They just looked like regular babies,’ Baldwin said.

One baby was so big that Gosnell joked to her, ‘This baby is going to walk me home,’ the Philadelphia Inquirerreported.

Gosnell, 72, is charged with seven counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of seven infants born alive during abortions.

He allegedly killed the babies by cutting their spinal cords with scissors.

If found guilty, Gosnell faces a possible death sentence.

Baldwin recalled seeing the doctor use scissors to ‘snip’ the necks of newborns who were moving outside the womb.

Just sick.

One screwed up “to do” list.

1. Kill unborn daughter;

2. If #1, above, fails; sue abortion clinic.

Dear darling daughter.  We love you.  Wish you were dead.  Love, Mom.

Cutie: Knights and her fiance are thrilled to have their healthy baby girl, pictured

An Ohio mother-of-two is suing an abortion clinic after it failed to terminate her pregnancy.

Ariel Knights, 22, and her fiance adore their ‘miracle baby’ daughter who was born in September. But doctors had originally warned the couple that a medical condition Knights suffers meant her life was at serious risk if they went ahead with the pregnancy.

She agonized over the decision, but, with a preschool-aged son and a fiance to think of, she called Akron Women’s Medical Group and booked in the March 2012 abortion.  “It was a decision I made because my life was in danger,” she said. “I was put in jeopardy.”

On the morning of her appointment, in March 2012, Knights said women were being herded into the clinic’s waiting room like cattle.  ‘Every seat was full. People were standing,’ Knights told the Beacon Journal. ‘It was pretty much like a slaughterhouse; it was like OK, next, next.’

She described how, when her name was called, she walked into a cramped room, hopped onto a table and, as instructed, positioned her lower body over a trash bag. When the doctor was finished, and she was still woozy from the sedation, Knights was handed her belongings and shown the door.

Abortion before age 2. More or less.

Snow Witch speaks on behalf of Planned Parenthood.

For anyone whose had their head in the sand – or some other orifice – for the last few decades and thinks that Planned Parenthood is some kind of benevolent service organization, this is for you.  When you feed the beast, it just gets hungrier.  When you give it blood it just wants more.

In addition to getting your tax dollars to the tune of about a $1 Billion per year, the world’s largest provider of abortion has never met an abortion it doesn’t like.   The only bad abortion is no abortion if you ask them.  That’s assuming you can get a straight answer.

Florida legislators considering a bill to require abortionists to provide medical care to an infant who survives an abortion were shocked during a committee hearing this week when a Planned Parenthood official endorsed a right to post-birth abortion.

Alisa LaPolt Snow, the lobbyist representing the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, testified that her organization believes the decision to kill an infant who survives a failed abortion should be left up to the woman seeking an abortion and her abortion doctor.  Easy question, right?  Apparently not for the Snow Witch:

When asked by a state representative asked Snow, “What objection could you possibly have to obligate a doctor to transport a child born alive to a hospital where it seems to me they would be most likely to be able to survive?”

Snow said Planned Parenthood was concerned about “those situations where it is in a rural health care setting, the hospital is 45 minutes or an hour away, that’s the closest trauma center or emergency room. You know there’s just some logistical issues involved that we have some concerns about.”

Obama’s War.

Home-schooling family who fled to U.S. from Germany face deportation: Parents face charges and $9,000 fine for taking kids out school as Obama officials prepare to send them back

Meanwhile, that nutjob from North Korea is threatening military strikes on U.S. Soil.  Well, at least our priorities are in order.

Mail Online reports:

The Obama administration is arguing in federal court that a homeschooling family from Germany should be deported back to their homeland, despite what they say is religious persecution. The German government prevented Uwe and Hannelore Romeike from teaching their five children at home instead of sending them to government-run schools, fining them and threatening to prosecute them if they don’t obey.

When they took their three oldest children out of school in 2006, police showed up at their house within 24 hours, only leaving after a group of supporters showed up and organized a quick protest.

But their legal troubles were just beginning. Germany began fining the family, ultimately racking up a bill of more than 7,000 Euros ($9,000).

After they fled to the United States in 2010, the Romeike family initially were granted political asylum and found a home in Tennessee. They had a sixth child. But then U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) appealed the asylum decision in 2012.

The federal Board of Immigration Appeals sided with the government despite a 2011 policy that gives the government broad discretion to pursue only high-priority cases.

ICE would not provide details about the case, or its reasons for pursuing the Romeikes.

Uwe and Hannelore Romeike fled Germany with their five children because the government there criminalized home schooling

Clearly a threat to our civilization.

Snip Gosnell, Part 8

And while we’re at it,let’s snip his enablers in the media as accomplices after the fact.

You’d think the trial of a serial killer would attract a little more media attention than it is.  I mean, I know he’s not using an evil assault weapon – at least not the kind that holds heartwarming amounts of ammunition and distributes it with admirable speed and precision.  No, that’s probably why.

So this serial killer guy is largely ignored by the entirety of the United States mainstream media.  But when he’s not being ignored he’s being portrayed by his lawyer as a victim of racism. (Because nobody’s ever heard of a white serial killer being prosecuted . . . well, except that guy who shot up the movie theater, and the other guy who went into a school, and the other guy who severally injured a U.S. Congresswoman.  Yeah, except for those.)

And when he’s not being ignored by the mainstream media in this country, the leader of one of the nation’s largest organizations who believes that the only bad abortion is no abortion and who would have the rest of us believe that those bad, meanie-weinie prolifers are the cause of all this fuss.

And when it’s just to slow a news day to ignore this fiend, the mainstream media gushes like this serial killer is up for canonization.  And maybe in their “church”, he is.

Tom Blumer over at NewsBusters notes:

A search at the Associated Press’s national web site tonight at 11 p.m. ET on “Gosnell” returned one result: a very early Monday morning story by the wire service’s Maryclaire Dale. This would indicate that the self-described Essential Global News Network hasn’t carried a subsequent national report on the trial proceedings involving Kermit Gosnell, the Pennsylvania and Delaware abortionist accused of eight murders, one of a patient and seven of babies allegedly born alive, even though there have now been three additional days of trial proceedings and testimony.

The later paragraphs of Ms. Dale’s report includes a disturbing one describing Gosnell — disturbing more because of what it may say about the AP reporter than Gosnell — and two devoted to an attempted defense of the abortionist which, at least as written, constitute no defense at all (bolds are mine):

Gosnell, an elegant man who appears serene in court, smiled softly as he listened to testimony last week, even that of a young woman who said she was hospitalized for two weeks after a 2009 abortion.

A neonatologist testified that his gestational age appeared to be about 27 to 30 weeks. But defense lawyer Jack McMahon pointed out the margin of error for prenatal testing is nearly two weeks.

The legal limit for abortions is 24 weeks in Pennsylvania, where that teen mother delivered, and 20 weeks in Delaware, where she was given drugs to start the abortion process.

Here are the choices dictionary.com gives us for the meaning of “elegant” in describing a person:

– gracefully refined and dignified, as in tastes, habits, or literary style: an elegant young gentleman; an elegant prosodist.
– graceful in form or movement: an elegant wave of the hand.
– appropriate to refined taste: a man devoted to elegant pursuits.

Maryclaire Dale really ought to let us know why she considers Gosnell “elegant.” Is he “refined and dignified”? Does he move gracefully? Does he demonstrate “refined taste”?

Has anyone ever seen a defendant in a murder trial described as “elegant” in a report describing his or her appearance during a trial? And I’d really like to see a photo of the “soft smile” Ms. Dale identified.

As to the “defense” Ms. Dale relayed relating to the age of the murdered babies, the last time I checked, 27 minus two (the apparent upper limit for the margin of error in estimating how long it has been since a baby was conceived) is 25, which is one week longer than the 24-week legal limit for abortions in Pennsylvania. Is the defense really saying, “Well, that’s close enough to 24 weeks that it shouldn’t matter”?

Really, the AP needs to have put someone else besides Ms. Dale on this trial, and needs to treat it as the genuinely national news story that it is until there’s a verdict.

Safe, Legal, and . . . oh nevermind.

It’s hard to imagine that people who kill children for a living would be disingenuous, but steel yourself.

Kermit Gosnell’s horrific butchery is not even a pretend secret anymore.  You’d think the pro-abortion juggernaut would be distancing itself from this rat bas. . . . but I digress.  Instead of continuing to profess their mantra about keeping abortion “safe,” they are blaming – you guessed it – prolifers for his plight.

As the good brothers Archbold at Creative Minority Report have noted:

Kate Michelman, the president emeritus of NARAL, says the darnedest things. You know Kermit Gosnell’s abortion house of horrors where he killed babies, killed women and kept body parts as souvenirs in his freezer, yeah all that was pro-lifers fault.

To be precise, Michelman, in a piece that appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer, is saying that it’s pro-lifers fault that women went to Gosnell in the first place.

You’re not going to believe this one:

If the charges against Gosnell prove true, he was an outlaw whose practice should have been shut down years earlier. So why did women go to him instead of a more reputable provider?

One former patient at the clinic told a state Senate committee that women in her neighborhood knew Gosnell offered the cheapest abortions available. Another Gosnell patient told the Associated Press that she had intended to go to a Planned Parenthood clinic but was scared away by antiabortion protesters. An acquaintance suggested Gosnell’s clinic, where protesters – ironically – were not an issue.

The evidence suggests a number of factors led women to Gosnell: Medicaid’s refusal to cover most abortions; the scarcity of providers in Pennsylvania; fear of violent protesters; and a right-wing culture that has stigmatized abortion.

Then there’s that bit-o-tripe about legal.  Or as they say at the NARAL meetings, “legal smegal.”

Now it’s come to light that the State of Alabama has had to file suit to keep an abortion clinic from continuing to operate illegally.  Mike Oliver at AL.com reports that the clinic once closed by Eric Rudolph continues to operate:

The Alabama Department of Public Health today filed a civill complaint in Jefferson County Circuit court seeking to stop the operation of what it says is an unlicensed abortion clinic in Birmingham.

The complaint states that New Woman All Women Health Care on the Southside does not have a license yet it is offering abortions provided by Dr. Bruce Norman.

The state announced last week it was investigating allegations the clinic was performing abortions without a license. The clinic – which is the same one bombed by Eric Rudolph in 1998 – surrendered its license last year after the health department found problems including two cases where patients were given an overdose of a drug and had to be transported to the hospital.

The clinic “is holding itself as an abortion provider through advertising and offering abortion services to the public without a license,” the complaint states.

Brian Hale, deputy general counsel for the state health department, said the state first learned of abortions advertised on the New Woman All Women website and launched an investigation in February after developing information Norman was performing abortions.

But taking a glimpse on the bright side of things, North Dakota is taking some steps to make the killing of unborn children rare, eliminating an unborn child’s Down’s Syndrome status as a death sentence.

You know it can’t be all bad if the New York Times has its drawers in a bunch:

Gov. Jack Dalrymple of North Dakota approved the nation’s toughest abortion restrictions on Tuesday, signing into law a measure that would ban nearly all abortions and inviting a legal showdown over just how much states can limit access to the procedure.

Mr. Dalrymple, a Republican, signed three bills passed by the Republican-controlled Legislature in Bismarck. The most far-reaching law forbids abortion once a fetal heartbeat is “detectable,” which can be as early as six weeks into a pregnancy. Fetal heartbeats are detectable at that stage of pregnancy using a transvaginal ultrasound.

The truth is – and prolifers with at least a couple of brain cells to rub together have always known this – proaborts have never cared a rat’s rear end about safe, legal, or rare.

For some it is purely financial.  There are mega bucks on the abortion bandwagon.  Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion “provider” in the world, gets about $1,000,000,000 a year in tax money.  Not bad in an age of supposed sequestration.

For others, abortion is the blood sacrament to the false god.  Make no mistake about it.  How else can you possibly explain the pro-abortion zealotry?

Unless and until we understand this reality, we will never be able bring the Kermit Gosnells and Kate Michelmans to the gallows of justice.  And we won’t be able to drive abortion into the back alleys where such grisly atrocities belong.

Vestiges of Liberty.

But just vestiges . . . and just barely.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that police cannot bring drug-sniffing police dogs onto a suspect’s property to look for evidence without first getting a warrant for a search, a decision which may limit how investigators use dogs’ sensitive noses to search out drugs, explosives and other items hidden from human sight, sound and smell.

The high court split 5-4 on the decision to uphold the Florida Supreme Court’s ruling throwing out evidence seized in the search of Joelis Jardines’ Miami-area house. That search was based on an alert by Franky the drug dog from outside the closed front door.

Justice Antonin Scalia said a person has the Fourth Amendment right to be free from the government’s gaze inside their home and in the area surrounding it, which is called the curtilage.

“The police cannot, without a warrant based on probable cause, hang around on the lawn or in the side garden, trawling for evidence and perhaps peering into the windows of the home,” Justice Antonin Scalia said for the majority. “And the officers here had all four of their feet and all four of their companion’s, planted firmly on that curtilage — the front porch is the classic example of an area intimately associated with the life of the home.”

He was joined in his opinion by Justices Clarence Thomas, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.

Snip Gosnell, Part 7.

‘House of horrors’ abortion clinic hadn’t been inspected in 20 years, was filthy, and the ‘anesthesiologist’ had a 6th grade education, jury hears.

The ‘house of horrors’ abortion clinic went nearly two decades without an inspection and was in a state of squalor, it was revealed in court today as the murder trial for Dr Kermit Gosnell’s clinic goes into its second week.

A Pennsylvania department of health employee testified today that the Philadelphia doctor’s abortion clinic was not inspected by health officials and ‘filthy, corroded’ tubing was used in medical equipment.

Jurors also heard testimony that the clinic’s ‘anesthesiologist’ only had a 6th grade education and that the clinic failed several state regulations.

According to NBC Philadelphia, witnesses testified that the facility at 38th and Lancaster Streets was subject to over-crowding, and had unqualified medical staffers.

One aide was apparently 15 and still in high school.

Last week, the jury heard testimony from Shayquana Abrams, who aborted her baby when she was 17 and nearly 30 weeks pregnant, well beyond the 24-week limit in Pennsylvania.

A medical assistant from Gosnell’s clinic in West Philadelphia has said the baby’s large size and pinkish color disturbed her. She says babies were routinely cut with scissors after delivery.

Planned Parenthood Building Huge New Abortion Clinic in New Orleans.

It may soon become much easier to get an abortion in the Big Easy, as the nation’s largest abortion clinic chain is planning to build a massive new regional abortion facility in New Orleans.

“New Orleans is a vibrant city full of great culture and heritage, and sadly, the city with the highest violent crime rate in the U.S.  New Orleans is a city in need of peace,” says Louisiana Right to Life in an email alert tot its members. “Now, the struggle for peace has taken another turn. Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast plans to build now and open in 2014 a 7,000 square foot complex on Claiborne Avenue.”

The pro-life group said the new abortion business will be located at 4636 S. Claiborne near Napoleon Avenue and, according to Planned Parenthood’s fundraising materials, the Claiborne facility will perform abortions, unlike the current PP Magazine Street office.

“We anticipate the facility will become a regional abortion center, drawing in women from across the southeast,” the group added. “As the facts show, more Planned Parenthood equals more abortion. PP, the nation’s largest abortion business, performed 333,964 abortions in 2011; 9 out of 10 pregnant women who enter PP’s doors choose abortion; and for every 145 abortions, PP facilitates only 1 adoption referral.”
